LADYBIRD LUNCHEON
A close friend invites Adele to lunch in the Russian Tea Rooms, to try to cheer her up. Whilst dining, they notice a buzz of excited chatter. A friendly waiter brings Adele the mornings edition of the NY Times. There on the front page is Gerard, smiling, surrounded by tropical jungle. There also is Dr Angelica Fellows, giving him a more than friendly embrace. Fame at last! He has just discovered an entirely new species of Spider, and it is to be named after him. His dreams are now fulfilled, but hers are shattered. `That should be me, sharing his joy....not her!
Ladybird Luncheon consists of the following: Dupion silk strapless dress in black and cream, with red silk beaded belt. Black jacket with large cream shawl collar. Over two hundred micro beads are individualy, randomly sewn across dress bodice , and beaded beetles crawl around the wide collar.. The skirt is full and mid-calf length, and has a red and black tulle underskirt... a Ladybird hat adorns her head tilted to the front,glistening with beads and crystals. A red, beaded silk bag, cream gloves, necklace, earrings, and a pair of black court shoes with red bead trim finish the look.
