Mercedes De' Accoste, a hot-blooded Latin seductress, man-eater and insatiable Vamp.It's November 1923, and Mercedes De' Accoste pulled on their sumptuous evening coat, whilst summoning the bell-hop.
`Be a good chap and tell my driver to bring the Bentley to the front door' Her long suffering maid Dotty, fusses over her mistress' s hat.
`Have you my head-dress Dot? I can't have it getting wet, oh and do stop hovering!!'
With an over exaggerated but elegant sway, Mercedes exits her apartment building, with Dot scurrying behind laden with hatboxes, vanity case's , everything required for the evening ahead.
Would that bothersome, bubblesome, beautiful Daisy Hatton-Clarke be there again tonight?
Mercedes checked her scarlet nails and settled herself back into the glistening leather upholstery, and with the flick of a wrist motioned her chauffeur to drive on.

This early twenties outfit consists of a sumptuous embroidered, beaded coat, of blue velvet and green plush, lined with navy satin, similar in style to those designed by Poiret at that time. The velvet hat has embroidery and beading on the brim, and pulls down over her fringe, covering her eyebrows. The dress is of navy embroidered silk, topped with a gilet of golden thread, again intricately hand beaded. The head-dress has three beaded sections joined by golden wire, suggesting clusters of grapes and vines. Her bronze and olive sparkle shoes have a silk ribbon trim and the trumpet heel fashionable then, and tan `silk' stockings cover her sleek legs. The little velvet purse has bronze embroidery and a beaded tassel, navy opera gloves, and a set of costume jewellery (green drop earrings, choker and chain, bracelets), an Art Deco gilt fan , the olive feathers perfectly matching the green of the dress.
