Estelle has a large amount of money, bonds and precious jewellery which she wants deposited in a safety box in a Bank.... preferably. She figures the Gendarmes wouldn't think she'd have the cheek to stash her loot away right under their noses in the very town she'd aquired it. But then they don't know that Monsieur Le Bank Manager, spent a few, very cosy moments with her in a curtained boothe at a very popular restauarant the other evening ............and her father has the pictures to proove it! She doesn't like the word Blackmail........ friendly persuasion is how she likes to think of it?t |

The arrangement is this........when Monsieur Le Bank Manager sees her enter the Bank wearing an outrageous hat, adorned with a bird in flight....straight from Paris no less.....he has to welcome her profusely as an old friend, a French Comtesse, who's fleeing the Germans with her family treasure....hence the Safety deposit box...then he's to show her into his office. This he does with a show of sycophantic bravado that quite frankly she finds enchanting! Monsieur Le Bank Manager then shows her into the vault trying in vain to shield the combination numbers from this quick witted, but oh so beautiful crook. |

The suit she has chosen for her rendevous is actually a dress and jacket of striped silk dupion in shades of midnight blue and burnished coffee. The figure hugging dress is made from two silk fabrics, a striped silk for the skirt with a plain coffee bodice, highlighted at shoulder and hips with bands of navy satin studded with tiny sequins and beads. The jacket is made in the striped silk, which has been carefully cut to match at centre front closure. The slight batwing feature of the sleeves emphasise the glorious stripes which are dusted with jewel colours. |
