Unknown to many Miss Gene Marshall stared in a little known film made in the late forties playing the part of popular actress and
comedienne of the late twenties and early thirties Thelma Todd, who died at the height of her carreer, under mysterious circumstances. Some say it was suicide, but there were a number of unresolved questions
which surrounded her untimely death.
Thelma was one of those gifted actress's that managed to move from silent films into talkies. There's no telling what hieghts she
could have scaled had she lived, counting Joan Crawford and Bette Davis as her contemporaries.
She was also one of the most beautiful and stylish ladies of her time as can be seen in stills and publicity shots and many
sought her company and friendship.
Miss Marshall has faultlessy and sympathetically portayed Thelma in one of her most moving roles.
However..... invisable forces moved to keep this film largely unpublicised. Did the film come to close to the truth for some people? Sadly, we'll never know.......?
