The Deal

Madra knew she'd won this two picture deal simply because she'd threatened to `whisper' into Hedda's bejewelled ear a few well chosen words. The meeting was scheduled for 10 a.m. prompt.

At exactly 10.15 she appeared, swathed in silk, pearls and mink.

The little silk pleats around her slender legs rustled gently as she took her seat. She noticed their glances

``Okay boys, what's the deal?"

Madra's suit is made of peach and cream silk dupion. There is also a peach satin cummerbund edged with a cream silk pleated frill to nip in and accentuate her waist.

The peach skirt has hemline detail of cream knife pleats, enabling her to sit and bend her knees more comfortably.

The fitted bodice with pearl closures at the back, has a sweetheart neckline, and each of the elbow-length puff sleeves are embellished with embroidered peach bouquets.

Her mink bandeau hat, which is trimmed with pearls and silk ribbons sits snuggly behind her coiled coiffure.

Her three strand necklace of tiny gold seed beads and fresh water pearls glistens at her neck, whilst a pearl encrusted gilt butterfly sits comfortably at it's base. She also has a matching bracelet, and large pearl stud earrings to finish the set.

Around her neck is a cream mink stole, weighted at each end with pearl strands

Her large silk purse is trimmed with tiny velvet peach blooms and an organza bow. A pair of cream and peach shoes complete the outfit.
