`Don Giovanni'

Donna Anna grieving for her father sings : `` Non mi dir, bell 'idol mio" and along with Don Ottavio and Donna Elvira, another jilted lover of Don Giovanni's, turn up at a wedding party all wearing masks, to hide their identities, and commence to protect the bride and confront Don Giovanni.

It is the marriage feast of Zerlina, a peasant girl, and the amorous Don Giovanni's next victim .

However, the arrogant Don Giovanni previously had invited the Commendatore's statue to dine with him, and during the festivities the old mans ghost appears and drags Don Giovanni to his doom, much to the amusement and satisfaction of the crowd" 

Don Giovanni : an Opera in Two Acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, first premiered at the National Theatre in Prague October 29th, 1787. 

``Donna Anna is betrothed to the handsome Don Ottavio. One evening the rascal Don Giovanni enters her house and tries to seduce her. Shocked, Donna Anna manages to escape his advances, and is challenged by her father, the Commendatore.

A duel ensues, the old man is killed, and Don Giovanni flees managing to keep his identity hidden from all.

Unwittingly Donna Anna asks Don Giovanni for help in avenging her fathers death, but recognises his voice as that of her assailant and her fathers murderer.  She tells her fiancĂ©e Don Ottavio about the events of that tragic night, worrying that her honour is at stake, ``Or sai chi l'onore" but Don Ottavio reassures her of his love.

 

Donna Anna is a restyled Bailey Model, and was especially created for the Belmont Ball Auction, October 2000 and auctioned off in aid of charity
